**American here** I appreciated the convenience and the proximity to the beach. Great if you have kids and there are many activities everyday. DO NOT GO IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK PORTUGUESE. It is a region not frequented by Americans (as opposed to Rio or São Paulo) so there was only one fluent employee. The pillows are uncomfortable so bring your own. The breakfast/lunch/dessert/fruit were good because they are traditional Brazilian cuisine but the themed dinners were usually foreign and not great. The beaches and ocean proximity were definitely a perk. Beach access ends at 6 PM. I felt very safe which was great as I was wary before hand. Overall I enjoyed my stay but there were a few things that would’ve been good to anticipate.

Great location, lots of potential
The Prodigy Resort is in an amazing area in Aracaju. The facilities and property has a lot of potential. However, I believe they are missing quite a few things. They are trying to be a convention centre and a resort. I can't see how people on a convention is compatible with families wanting to be in a resort. So things are badly lacking. The rooms are actually extremely comfortable with nice views, lots of space and very bright and airy. The major problem is the food. Thankfully, having read some previous reviews, we didn't sign up for the half board. Based on the breakfast, I can only imagine how bad the dinner would be. For example, the first morning, there were simply no glasses to put your juice in and no staff around to ask for glasses. Then when some glasses arrived, there was no more juice. The selection of food was very poor so I stood in the fresh egg line. This took about 30 minutes. On day 1 there were 2 people making the eggs. Then on day 2, there was 1 person making eggs (and this is for a massive resort / convention centre where there are many people wanting breakfast). After waiting for about 5 minutes in the line and not moving, I gave up. The selection of cold foods on day 2 was actually worse than day 1. On a positive note, I spoke to the Manager and he acknowledges the problem and is waiting on a new head chef to start on 1 August. He also went out of his way to look after us for which we were grateful.

Nice view bad hotel
I did not like the Hotel at all! First all, they put in a different room that I booked! Second, They send me a different lunch that I ordered, but to make the things worse, when I ordered my dinner, they did it again, so I after they sent me the wrong dinner, they agreed to exchange the to right dinner. However, after when they send me the bill, they charged me both plates. Also, the restroom was old, and the sink was not work very well... The good point of this hostel is the view which is really beautiful. Maybe if you get a new room and if they do not mess with your food, you probably can have a good time right there. But unfortunately I did not.

Nice private beach hotel
The resort is nice, but far from everything. Was very hard to drive from Atalaia to the hotel.

Ótimo
Hotel excelente, tudo limpinho, organizado, ótimo atendimento. A alimentação deixou um pouco a desejar, e tivemos um problema em que o meu marido foi mordido por um mico, no estabelecimento, e não tivemos nenhum suporte.
