Green pastures, picturesque flocks of sheep, and delicious beer – Ireland has countless virtues that could be listed for a long time. A journey to this country offers you the opportunity to improve your English, embrace nature in various forms on land and water, and get acquainted with one of the oldest cultures – the Celtic one. To answer the burning question immediately: do Belarusians need a visa for Ireland? Yes, they do, because the country is not part of the Schengen Zone. We explain how to obtain one, and the platform TravelHub can help with organizing business trips.
Types of Visas
Before you start gathering your documents, determine exactly which type of Irish visa you need in your case. Choose the option that aligns with your purpose, or you risk being denied:
- Tourist. The ideal option for a short trip and exploring the country. Choose group tours to Ireland to enjoy your vacation in good company.
- Business. Suitable for trips to conferences, business trips, or handling work-related matters, although you must provide information about your job and the purpose of your visit.
- Student. This is a long-term option necessary for those planning to study in Ireland.
- Family and Guest. Available for those who have a partner, spouse, or parents residing in the country, provided you can prove your family relationship.

Required Documents
- A printed visa application form. Note that you must first complete it on the official website of the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Immigration. Follow the instructions, fill in your details as accurately as possible, then print it, attach your photo, sign it, and include it with your other documents;
- Your passport (ensure it has two blank pages in the visa section and remains valid for at least six months after your trip ends);
- Two photos (35 mm x 45 mm);
- A hotel reservation in Ireland;
- A bank statement for the last six months;

- A letter from your employer stating your position and salary;
- If you are married or have children, include documents proving it. Also, provide documents for any car or apartment that you own;
- Any expired passports you still have;
- Any previous visa refusals from other countries, if applicable.
And don’t forget to have your documents translated into English and notarized. After that, you can book a tour to Ireland from Minsk on TravelHub.

How to Obtain an Irish Visa?
The Embassy of Ireland in Moscow is responsible for issuing the entry permit. Belarusians must submit their documents through the Irish visa center in Minsk – VFS Global. You can do this no earlier than 90 days before your trip. Processing times for an Irish visa are somewhat unpredictable – from a minimum of 5 days to as long as 6 weeks, so keep this in mind when booking flights to Ireland.
Visa Fees
To obtain an Irish visa, pay the required fees. The visa fee is 5,400₽ (for single entry), the service fee is 42.88€ and the logistics fee is 12€. Payment is accepted only in Belarusian rubles at the National Bank’s exchange rate at the time of your document submission at VFS Global. Also, keep in mind the costs for translating and notarizing your documents, and for an additional fee you can arrange to have your passport delivered to your home.

What to Do in Case of a Refusal?
Refusals can result from errors in your documents (such as missing paperwork, mismatched dates, etc.) or insufficient funds in your account. The consul might also suspect that you intend to stay illegally in Ireland if you have no strong ties to Belarus – no family, steady job, property, etc. To avoid this, double-check all your documents against the checklist and provide as much information about yourself as possible. In case of a refusal, you can file an appeal. For details, contact VFS Global in Minsk.
