The Wonders of the World are great architectural structures that amazed with their grandeur and technical complexity in the Ancient World. They became symbols of human courage, creativity and striving for eternity. These great works of art left an unforgettable mark on history and culture, inspiring people throughout the centuries. The majestic bronze statue of Helios, who was the god of the Sun, was located at the entrance to the harbor of the city of Rhodes . The height of the Colossus was about 36 meters. At night and during storms, it showed the way to sailors .
The lighthouse located in Alexandria , Egypt, is one of the tallest buildings in the ancient world. Just imagine a lighthouse rising 120-150 meters into the sky. A miracle, no less. In addition to the name we know, the ancients also called it the Pharos Lighthouse. It was built during the time of Ptolemy II Philadelphus. As with the Colossus, sailors used the lighthouse as a reference point.
