"Our Experience: Assistance in an Emergency Situation in Bali"

When travel is suddenly at risk, it is especially important to have a team ready to take responsibility and act swiftly. This is exactly what happened with a travel agent and her tourists vacationing in Indonesia.

In accordance with the terms of our non-disclosure agreement (NDA), certain details have been altered or omitted. This case is intended to showcase our approach to achieving goals while strictly upholding our clients’ confidentiality.

Given:

  • Client: tour agent (3 people)
  • Destination: Indonesia, Bali

Client’s Task:

Initially, the tour had been booked with another operator. However, when the connecting flight was canceled, the travelers were instructed to find and purchase new tickets on their own. The travel agent found herself in a difficult position: she needed to quickly find an alternative, process the necessary documents, and secure a departure at the earliest opportunity—all while avoiding wasted time and unnecessary expenses.

The travel agent reached out to us at a time when the situation was growing increasingly tense: her travelers needed to get home urgently, and flights were being canceled en masse due to adverse weather conditions. Initially, she tried to select tickets on our website while concurrently consulting with the aviation department. Throughout the day, our team assisted her in navigating the available options. However, as evening approached, it became apparent that the standard booking systems were not updating fast enough, and many of the flights displayed online were, in fact, unavailable.

At that point, all available staff from the department joined in to support the process—even outside regular working hours. The travel agent maintained constant communication with the team, checking in at every step, while we coordinated her actions and assisted with rapid decision-making. Despite difficulties with payments and technical delays, by around 10 p.m. we managed to secure and book actual tickets that ensured the travelers would depart on time. Thanks to a well-coordinated team effort, all obstacles were overcome, and the group was safely returned home.

Result:

The three tourists were able to return home on time, avoiding a lengthy wait at the resort. The agent commended the high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication of the TravelHub team, which stepped in—even though they were not initially connected to the booking.
