Holidays for two in Zanzibar

A romantic trip with your significant other is always exciting. After all, you want everything to be perfect. You need to choose a direction that suits the tastes of both. Find the best hotel with caring staff, where you don’t have to worry about the little things and will be able to bring back as many highlights from your trip as possible.
And now, already at the tour operator’s table, it turns out that one wants idialistic beaches, and the other wants hiking in the mountains. Some people enjoy walking through ancient city ruins, steeped in local history and culture, while others value natural beauty. One needs service and privacy, the other needs vibrant authenticity. But all this can be obtained in Zanzibar.

The choice of entertainment pampers vacationers with its abundance so much that they want to extend the trip longer.
What is Zanzibar? This is a group of islands located on the eastern side of Africa. The archipelago consists of three main islands - Unguja, Pemba and Mafia, and more than 70 small ones scattered like beads across the Indian Ocean along Tanzania. The largest is Unguja. And if someone says that they were on vacation in Zanzibar, then they are most likely talking about this island.
What can two lovers do here? First of all, give yourself time to adapt to this amazing new place and head to the ocean. Zanzibar captivates with its azure, seemingly retouched beaches, which are not inferior in beauty to the Maldives and Seychelles. Tours here are often more affordable.

The beaches on the south-eastern side of the island are good for kitesurfing (Page Beach), snorkeling and exploring the sacred Kuza Cave (Jambiani Beach) and dolphin walks (Kizimkazi Beach). However, the ebb and flow of the tides here can reach two kilometers, which makes it possible not only to walk along the coral reefs, but also to accidentally step on a sea urchin.
If you find yourself in the southern part of the island, be sure to check out The Rock restaurant, located on a miniature island, not far from Pingwe beach. A very romantic, calm place with beautiful views and a decent menu.
The most popular beaches in Zanzibar are Kendwa and Nungwi. Here the tides are not so noticeable. So there is no need to hunt across the ocean. You can swim whenever you want.
Kendwa Beach has plenty of cost-effective luxury hotels and a tranquil environment that gets a little rocky in the evening as bars and restaurants open to visitors.
Nungwi Beach is famous for its parties. After all, here, unlike most of the island, you can buy alcohol. Restaurants have a lot of grilled seafood, which quickly finds its way from the ocean to the kitchen thanks to local fishermen.
TravelHub has launched a promotion for newlyweds who have been married for no more than six months. For a reasonable price, you can book a room in one of two comfortable hotels Riu Jambo 4* Al or Riu Palace Zanzibar 5* Al, located in the Nungwi beach area. Delicious price valid until October 31st. You can book a room by calling +375-(29)-373-34-34.
In the northernmost part of Nungwi there is an open-air aquarium called Mnarani, where you can climb into and feed seaweed to the friendly turtles.

You can also swim with giant reptiles on Changuu Island, or as it is also called Prison. Once upon a time there was a secluded place where rebel slaves or those suffering from fever were taken. Now Changuu has become a reserve for turtles.
After exploring the pearly sands of the beaches, it would be nice to take a walk around the historical part of the island. The capital of Unguja is Zanzibar City, whose cultural heritage is located in Stone Town. Stone streets with graceful verandas and numerous temples of different religions scattered among other attractions introduce travelers to Swahili culture.
Wooden carved gates of buildings often become locations for photo sessions of couples in love. You can touch the history of Zanzibar by walking to the Old Fort or the Slavery Museum. But the museum building, the House of Miracles, the largest and tallest building in Stone Town, is currently closed for restoration. Fans of the Queen frontman can visit the house-museum where Freddie Mercury was born.

Watching the sun set over the ocean, coloring the water with all shades of pink, is most romantic on the roof of one of the most popular establishments in the city with the same name, Stone Town.
Head to Darajani Market or Forodhani Gardens Night Market to savor the aromas of traditional cuisine and treat each other to a variety of local delicacies.
In local shops and stores you can buy incredibly aromatic spices and luxurious oils that are pleasant to apply to the skin and hair to protect from the sun and salt water. They also sell delicious hibiscus and lemongrass tea, which you can bring to your relatives. As a gift to your loved one, you can buy jewelry with tanzanite - a rather rare and very beautiful mineral, which is mined only in one region of Tanzania.
There is only one Jozani National Park on the island. While walking along the eco-trail, you can chat with cute little monkeys, listen to birdsong and admire numerous butterflies.
An amazing place located on the West coast of the island is the Cheetah Rock petting zoo and nursery. The reserve provides assistance to animals that have suffered at the hands of poachers. Here you can get up close and safely with lions, zebras, cheetahs, roe deer and many others.
When you have explored the island and its surroundings, and want to add a dose of adventurism to the romance, go to Tanzania. This is a classic outing for those on holiday in Zanzibar. It expands the range of activities and makes it possible to get out of the Ostrovian serenity into the African reality.

Tours from Zanzibar to Tanzania typically offer safaris to the country's national parks and a breathtaking climb to Mount Kilimanjaro. The diverse fauna, exotic nature and inaccessible snow-capped mountain peak will leave the deepest impressions - what is needed for a couple in love to have a treasure trove of shared experiences.
