Statistics on the issuance of Schengen visas to Belarusians in 2023 have become known

Official details:

  • Take into account: Schengen visas type C (short-term) for Belarusians and foreigners with a residence permit/TRP in the Republic of Belarus.
  • They do not take into account: national visas type D, purposes of travel (tourism, business, etc.), details of cases (who was refused, why).
  • Divided: by countries issuing visas, but not by the countries they represent (for example, the Hungarian Embassy also issues visas for Switzerland).

So, the top 5 countries by the number of Schengen visas issued to Belarusians in 2023:

1. Germany:

  • Total: 51,865 visas.
  • Multiple entries: 49,636 (95.7%).
  • Failures: 414 (0.8%).
  • 2.Italy:
  • Total: 40,175 visas.
  • Multiple entries: 34,316 (85.4%).
  • Refusals: 82 (0.2%).

3. Poland:

Embassy in Minsk :

  • Total: 13,892 visas.
  • Multiple entries: 12,114 (87.2%).
  • Refusals: 1,551 (10%).

Consulate General in Grodno:

  • Total: 8,980 visas.
  • Multiple entries: 8,234 (91.7%).
  • Refusals: 1,378 (15.3%).

Consulate in Brest:

  • Total: 8,564 visas.
  • Multiples: 7,769 (90.7%).
  • Refusals: 1,168 (12%).

4. Hungary:

  • Total: 14,392 visas.
  • Multiples: 10,525 (73.1%).
  • Failures: 219 (1.5%).

  • Total: 11,848 visas.
  • Multiple: 7,947 (67.1%).
  • Failures: 278 (2.3%).

Disclaimers:

On average for Schengen: 3.4% in 2023 versus 1.9% in 2022. Leaders in reducing refusals: leaders in issuing visas (Germany, Italy) - 3-4 times less refusals! Increase in refusals: mainly Poland (3 times), France (4 times), as well as Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia (not indicative due to the limited purposes of issuing visas).

Important: There is no data for a number of popular countries (Greece, Spain, Croatia) - embassies in Russia process applications.
