We drive along the fjord toward the start of the trek to Glymur Canyon . This is a place where we'll be almost alone. Iceland's highest waterfall is here, and the trail to it leads through a cave, across a log across the river, and along cliffs. Glymur is like a painting: orange reflections on the sheer cliffs, the sound of the water, and the complete feeling of being inside something great.

And now, a classic we can't miss. You've probably seen these names in every article about Iceland: Thingvellir, Strokkur, Gullfoss. They're often dismissed as overused places, but that doesn't make them any less powerful. The difference is in how you experience them. We're not rushing. We're taking our time. We're helping you feel the scale.

We walk along the rift between two tectonic plates in Thingvellir , imagining how millions of years shaped this land. We watch a geyser exhale steam from the depths of the planet. We listen to the roar of Gullfoss , not as tourists, but as participants in this cosmos. And we stop by one of the most underrated places—the azure Brúarfoss waterfall, which is beyond words.

We return home - with tired legs, but with a heart that has seen too much beauty on the first day.

This day is historic. Today we will see the total solar eclipse of 2026. And along the way:

We'll make a short stop at Kirkjufell Church Mountain , one of the most photogenic in Iceland. At 10:00 AM, we'll head out to sea for whale watching . This isn't a show, it's an encounter with one of the most majestic creatures on the planet.

After returning, we'll have lunch and head to Arnarstapi , a fairytale village on the ocean's edge. It boasts stunning lava arches and bird cliffs, making it feel like you're in a movie set. Then, a short detour to Utri-Tunga beach , where you can often spot seals basking on the rocks.

A historic moment is approaching. We will witness the 2026 total solar eclipse, which will reach its maximum phase in this region (lights dimming).

On the way back, we'll stop by the double waterfalls of Hraunfossar and Barnafoss , where water gushes straight from the lava. The color of the water at this time of year is especially impressive.

Today we're heading to the heart of the Icelandic desert —Landmannalaugar. It's a place where the earth breathes, where the colors of the hills seem like watercolors, and where it feels like you're walking on another planet.

Along the way, we make a stop at the Háufoss waterfall – gigantic and yet little-known, it seems to guard the entrance to the mountain world.

We'll be completely alone here, as this route is only for true adventurers. This isn't a transfer, it's a separate experience —we'll stop, take pictures, admire, and perhaps simply be speechless at the sheer scale.

In the evening, we'll check into a cottage near Seljalandsfoss . The sound of water outside the window, the stars above, and a silence you'll remember for a long time.

Today we're heading to Thorsmörk , one of the most beautiful and mysterious places in Iceland. It's more than just a valley; it's a true natural arena where the elements meet in their most pristine form.

Our trek will begin with a climb toward the Eyjafjallajökull craters. Although the volcano has long been dormant, its craters and lava fields still speak of this powerful, indomitable force of nature. We'll traverse moss-covered hills and valleys, crossing steep climbs that offer incredible views of glaciers, volcanoes, and the vast expanses of Iceland. Even though it's August, we'll be traversing part of the route through snow.

Thorsmörk is not just a picturesque place, it is a place where many natural elements come together:

After an intense trekking, we return home, but this incredible experience and the moments when it seemed like you were part of Icelandic nature itself will remain in your memory.

Today we set off on a journey where every corner of Iceland will give us a sense of the grandeur of nature.

Our first stop will be Seljalandsfoss , a waterfall that is striking in its uniqueness. We'll be able to walk behind its curtain of water and experience the power of this flow from a completely different perspective. And nearby is the equally majestic Skógafoss , a waterfall cascading down from a tremendous height. Bright rainbow reflections are always a delight here, if the weather is favorable.

We then head to Dyrhóelaey , one of the most photographed spots in Iceland. With its lava columns, black beaches, and enormous ocean waves, it's reminiscent of a scene from a sci-fi film.

Next, Reynisfjara —a black beach with stunning rock formations and needle-sharp basalt columns. Here, we'll feel the power of the ocean and the ancient forces of nature merge into one.

But that's not all. We're touching the tongue of Vatnajökull Glacier —one of the largest glaciers in Europe. Standing next to this icy giant, you'll feel like you're part of something grand and eternal.

Before the glacier, we'll make a small but unique stop: Yoda Cave . This cave, reminiscent of a Star Wars character, offers a chance to take some great photos and feel like we've entered a fantasy world.

Afterwards, we head to the Ice Lagoon and Diamond Beach . This place is not only visually stunning, but also creates a wonderful feeling of being transported to another world. Enormous icebergs float in the lagoon, and the glitter of the ice on the beach seems to split into millions of tiny diamonds.

And these are only the main points of the route, but we will also visit three more very nice waterfalls , each of which is unique and incredibly beautiful in its own way.

After a busy day, we will have a short drive towards Khobn , where we will spend the night in a cozy place to get some rest and prepare for the following days.

In the morning, we set off for Stokksness , a place that strikes us with its cinematic quality. It's not just a beach or a mountain—it's a painting where every line, reflection, and shade seems handcrafted. The black volcanic sand, the sparkling ocean, and the powerful profile of Mount Vestrahorn create the feeling of standing at the epicenter of Icelandic beauty. It makes you want to fall silent. Or, conversely, scream with delight.

After a stroll along the beach and some epic shots, a long drive to Reykjavik awaits us. We take our time, stopping, listening to music, and digesting everything we've seen over the past few days.

Lunch and free time in Reykjavik. The city is compact, warm, and perfect for a final highlight:

• Someone will go shopping for souvenirs

• Some people just wander along the embankment.

• And some of you are with us at Nauthlsvk , a city beach with a hot tub and swimming in the Atlantic Ocean (yes, the real one, cold, but very invigorating).

And in the evening, we'll have our farewell dinner . We'll sum things up, reminisce about the best moments, laugh at our own internal memes, and maybe even start making plans for our next trip.

Tomorrow, we'll fly off to different parts of the world. But Iceland will remain with us—in photographs, in our bodies, in conversations, and somewhere deep inside.

The morning of the last day is always a little special. Some pack their suitcases in silence, some look through photos, and still others brew their last cup of coffee.

Departures will begin this afternoon, and we'll be saying goodbye—not only to Iceland, but also to each other. We've seen and experienced too much in these days to remain just casual travel companions.
